We stayed three nights in January. The Peabody certainly lives up to its billing as ‘the Grand Hotel of the South’ with a luxurious lobby and regal hotel rooms. The service is extraordinary. Honestly, the staff are always smiling and can’t do enough. Each evening they actually knock at your door offering you chocolates, extra toiletries and extra bottled water (all with a duck motif, of course). The duck parade at 11am and 5pm is a must. Don’t wait until the last minute if you want a prime viewing spot though as it crowds up fast. Our room was spacious and the bed was VERY comfy. We especially appreciated the built-in individual reading lights. The hotel offers free coffee and tea downstairs each morning. The location is great, 2 blocks from Beale and across the street from the ballpark. I can’t imagine going to Memphis and staying anywhere else

This hotel is a historical building with light unique experiences. If you check in with a pet, they'll provide them with a leash, mat, and bowls for water and food. Every day there's a ceremony for the hotel ducks to welcome them to the fountain in the lobby and send them back up to their "palace" on the hotel rooftop in the evening. A nice event worth watching if you have kids. It's a beautiful hotel with a lot of restaurants to meet your dietary interests and has a laid back vibe while also being situated right in the heart of downtown and thus close to the sports grounds and Beale St for the night life. We'll be returning for sure!

Entering this hotel takes you into another world. You are treated with such care, kindness and consideration by every member of their staff. Everyone in the hotel, whether employee or guest, seemed genuinely happy to be there. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The ducks were quite a treat to watch. The room, restaurants, lobby, and rooftop were all perfect. While it may seem you are paying a little more than other are hotels, this experience is definitely worth more than you can possibly imagine. I look forward to returning when I am back in Memphis.

Magnificent lobby and bar area (where the duck fountain is) with very helpful staff. Location ideal for the central Memphis sights, including the museums and ball park (the main art gallery is not in the downtown yet but moving next year) and amazing Mississippi. Large car park for self-parking so no need to pay extra for valet, though it is a walk to the hotel from the car park. Nice (if too small) restaurant for breakfast with some truly dedicated serving staff. Swimming pool pleasant enough if small.

Our stay at The Peabody was worth every penny. The history and ambience of the main lobby / bar area really added something special to our trip. Loved the piano player, Elvis tracks and so pleased to see the Lanksy Bros still have a home in Memphis. The location is perfect, a very short stroll to Beale Street. Overall, an old school gem.
